The Chicago White Sox Marketing Department is looking for qualified candidates interested in joining our 2024 Kids Zone team. This is a part-time position perfect for college students or anyone with a flexible schedule. You’ll represent the White Sox at home games throughout the regular season, interacting with children and families at the ballpark. Instructors will work in the Kids Zone batting cages and mini-field, teaching baseball/softball fundamentals to children and their families. By spending quality 1:1 time with each child, you will help us create lifelong Sox fans and continue the love of the game with future generations.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Instructing and demonstrating the techniques of playing baseball and/or softball at the Xfinity Kid Zone, to participants under the age of 14. Must have the ability to speak with parents, providing drills and explaining techniques their child was working on.
  • Have strong organizational skills for running instructional areas and stations.
  • Effectively communicate rules and expectations to fans and participants.
  • Ensure the safety of all fans throughout their participation, make sure all fans follow proper protocol (i.e. make sure participants are under the age of 14 and are wearing approved footwear).

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Played baseball or softball through high school and/or coached high school or college baseball or softball.
  • Able to work cooperatively with other Kids Zone employees and ballpark staff.
  • Must show enthusiasm, professionalism, and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Must be outgoing, energetic, communicative, and reliable.
  • Comfortable working with and providing instruction to children under 14.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule with some weekdays, weekends, and nights required.
