The White Sox Marketing Department is looking for qualified candidates interested in joining our 2024 Kids Zone team. This is a part-time position perfect for college students or anyone with a flexible schedule. You’ll represent the White Sox at home game throughout the regular season, interacting with children and families at the ballpark. You’ll ensure that all guests can enjoy a fun and safe environment while in the Kids Zone. Attendants operate the automatic batting cages and “Race a Player” sprint tracks.
Responsibilities Include:
- Operate numerous attractions located in the Xfinity Kids Zone including, but not limited to, batting cages, speed pitch, and a running attraction
- Effectively communicate rules and expectations to fans and participants
- Ensure the safety of all fans throughout their participation, monitor all policies and safety protocols (i.e. make sure participants are under the age of 14 and wearing proper footwear)
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Playing experience in baseball and/or softball not required but general understanding or knowledge of the game is preferred
- Must show enthusiasm, professionalism, and maintain a positive attitude
- Able to work cooperatively with other Kids Zone employees and ballpark staff
- Must be outgoing, energetic, communicative, and reliable
- Must be comfortable working with children under 14
- Available to work a flexible schedule with some weekdays, weekends, and nights required
- Customer Service experience preferred
