Position Summary

Tepper Sports & Entertainment, home to the NFL’s Carolina Panthers, MLS’s Charlotte FC, and Bank of America Stadium, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a crucial part of our Human Resources department, this position will play a key role in supporting various HR functions and initiatives including, but not limited to, talent acquisition, onboarding, orientation, employee engagement, employee program administration, benefits, and much more. Primary Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Onboarding Support:
    • Assist in coordinating recruitment activities such as job postings, career fairs, candidate screening, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
    • Maintain recruitment records and applicant tracking system (ATS).
    • Support onboarding and orientation processes for new hires.
    • Assist with the coordination of intern and fellowship programs
  • HR Administration:
    • Manage employee records and HR databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
    • Handle routine HR inquiries and provide information to employees regarding policies, procedures, and benefits.
    • Provide support in the day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs and projects including health insurance, wellness, workers compensation, FMLA, and other fringe benefits
  • Employee Engagement:
    • Support initiatives to foster employee morale and engagement, including organizing events, gatherings, and recognition programs.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
    • Assist in ensuring compliance with labor regulations and company policies.
    • Prepare HR-related reports and documentation as needed.
  • General People Operations Duties:
    • Provide general administrative support to the HR team, such as scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence, and maintaining supplies.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Prior experience in HR or related business administration field
  • Knowledge of HR processes and best practices.
  • Prior experience with or the ability to quickly adapt to HRIS and ATS systems
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Must be flexible to work non-traditional hours including night, weekends, and/or holidays when needed
  • Must pass pre-employment screens

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment (mostly office environment but occasionally outside in a stadium facility at times, which may include inclement weather conditions and extended time standing and walking).
