1. The Department

The Marketing department plays a central role in a variety of exciting and important projects at the club, working collaboratively with multiple departments on a daily basis to help achieve shared goals.

In recent months the team have created and rolled out the new club crest and brand, launched the club’s first ever Adidas kit and activated in Times Square, New York, during the club’s pre-season tour to the USA. No day is the same, with each one posing a new challenge to solve.

For the club to continue to make progress on the pitch the commercial department must also take strides off the pitch, and therefore the marketing department are seeking to expand the team with a Commercial Marketing Manager to help drive forward several key commercial pillars for the club.

2. The Role

As the Club embarks on its first UEFA Champions League campaign and enters into its 150th anniversary year, the marketing department is looking for a passionate and skilled Commercial Marketing Manager to help drive the Club forward in this exciting time. You will play a key role in helping to realise the potential of some exciting changes that the club is undergoing.

You will be responsible for end-to-end management of fully integrated marketing campaigns for all club commercial products and services such as (but not limited to) Hospitality/Premium, Ticketing, Retail, Memberships, non-matchday events & tours

You will be the gatekeeper to the annual marketing campaign calendar, ensuring all campaigns are communicated through the business and delivered on brand across all touchpoints, and measure, analyse and report on all campaign performances across the Club. You will also play a central role in the creation and delivery of key activations/campaigns to celebrate the club’s 150th anniversary year.

3. The Person

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience working in a similar product marketing role, who will be a passionate self-starter who will demonstrate ownership of projects to ensure targets are achieved. You will also have experience in maximizing B2B & High-Net worth B2C campaign strategies.

You will have the ability to create, manage, and deliver integrated marketing campaigns utilising a full range of marketing tools and channels and understand digital/social best practice, marketing insight, CRM, brand, and the broader resources within the marketing department to ensure full functionality of capabilities are realised in respect of every campaign.

You will work individually and as part of a team, whilst building relationships at all levels of the business, and have exceptional verbal communication skills which are clear, concise, and accurate to internal/external stake holders. You must also have the ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines and multitask on multiple projects and priorities appropriately. You will also be creative with a keen eye for attention to detail with strong analytical/research skills.

The role will require you to work flexible hours as the Club requires, this may include some matchday working evenings and weekends, and other stadium events.
