The New York Jets are looking for a talented individual to support the day to day creative needs of the Social Media, Content and Marketing Teams. Reporting to the Director of Creative Services, this person should have a collaborative mindset, demonstrate a strong-work ethic, and have an eye towards social-first design. This designer will be responsible for collaborating with the Social Media Design and Content teams to assist in the ideation and execution of compelling, dynamic, engaging, and mobile-first assets for the New York Jets digital platforms. This designer should demonstrate a strong portfolio with a focus on capturing the attention of content consumers and leveraging the most recent trends on social media platforms. This designer must have a strong knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and social media platforms. (working knowledge of AfterEffects is a plus).

Key Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with the Marketing & Content Departments to ideate and execute design projects following the New York Jets brand and latest in digital best practices
Demonstrate an understanding of engaging social media content and work with social team daily
Develop unique and engaging content-based graphics that help drive fan engagement
Understand key performance indicators and adapt creative to improve performance
Maintain flexibility to execute a wide range of projects under short deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality control and professional standards

Requirements:

1-3 years of design experience (including college design experience)
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud: Photoshop, Illustrator, & InDesign and working knowledge of Adobe AfterEffects
Must have experience with social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok
Ability to demonstrate high level of digital work via design portfolio
College Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or similar college program experience
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Core Competencies

Strong proficiency in the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign & working knowledge of Adobe AfterEffects
Strong design and composition skills with an eye to the latest social media trends
Excellent storytelling & visual communications skills
An understanding of platform specific and mobile first design
High level of organization, professionalism, and attention to detail
Proven ability to work under tight deadlines with minimal direction
Experience in professional or college sports is preferred
Ability to work well in a team and receive constructive feedback and guidance is required
In addition to the daily schedule, this individual may be asked to work during and after Jets games, events and during breaking news situations which sometimes occur at night and on weekends
