The purpose of this role is to provide financial support to Group Function areas, such as Finance, Technology, People Services, Legal and Communications. To understand the relative business areas and provide dedicated financial support to the leaders of each respective area. The role will be the main Finance contact for these areas of the business, including the collection, reporting and analysis of the financial information

A priority will be to influence, challenge and support the Group Function areas with ad hoc projects and additional financial analysis. To support the areas to identify and obtain the necessary broader finance input when needed, e.g tax, technical accounting guidance etc.

Your Impact

• Be a key member of the team working to support the Group Functions to meet budgets and the LRP plans, including corrective action planning when needed
• Develop and maintain strong trusting relationships with key stakeholder groups to influence and challenge outcomes and help improve decision making supported by data
• Perform insightful financial analysis to facilitate effective decision making by the senior leaders of the Group Functions
• Support Group Functions with key financial processes, such as annual budgeting and forecasting

What we are looking for

Essential

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA accountant with a relevant university degree
• Excellent communicating and influencing skills, with clear examples of developing strong relationships with a variety of senior stakeholders
• Positive, open mindset; examples of delivering high quality work with tight deadlines
