Part-Time Guest Services Event Day Dispatcher

General Description:
This position is responsible for ensuring all incoming maintenance, security, housekeeping, and other general calls are properly documented in the dispatch system. The Event Day Dispatcher will ensure specific departments are notified immediately following the information provided by phone. Must have a calm demeanor and be able to communicate issues clearly. A working knowledge of building operations is also needed to be able to direct information accordingly.

RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrates our One Team philosophy of Passion, Accountability, Customer Focus, and Teamwork.
  • Ability to arrive 1-2 hours prior to any staff entering the building.
  • Respond to all calls made by various departments throughout the arena.
  • Ensure calls are only made for necessary information regarding safety, emergencies, medical incidents, and maintenance needs in the arena.
  • Know emergency policies and procedures and be prepared to act when necessary.
  • Appropriately document information that is called in.
  • Be in proper uniform when at work.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least one-year of prior dispatch/ supervisory experience (Venue or stadium operations preferred)
  • Detail oriented and highly organized with an ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to change.
  • Experienced in computerized data entry.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent social and leadership skills with a diverse staff.
  • Tenacious work ethic.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.


PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk and communicate with others.
  • The vision requirement includes the ability to review written and electronic materials in both digital and physical format.
  • The employee must be able to transfer and move items for departmental needs.
  • The employee must be able to adjust to changing work hours and locations as needed in light of the strong focus on external communications and relationships.
