UM/Panthers SIP Program - Corporate Partnerships Activation

The Florida Panthers are a community focused organization led by an authentic management team that served our country and now serves the South Florida community. The organization is on the rise and is experiencing success both on and off the ice. Led by General Manager Bill Zito, the Panthers are coming off their best season in franchise history. Off the ice, the business is experiencing growth across all key metrics and our revenue is at an all-time high. The organization is expanding outside of FLA Live Arena via the renovation of the FTL War Memorial in downtown Fort Lauderdale. This state-of-the-art ice facility will feature two regulation-size rinks, new team practice rink with stadium seating, and a 4,000-capacity music theatre for live entertainment. The future is bright, and we are very proud of what we are building in South Florida.

Program Summary:

The Florida Panthers are partnering with UM for full-time interns to be a part of our 2023-2024 Internship Program. Our Internship Program focuses on personal and professional growth, gaining industry experience, and mentorship. Our ideal interns are eager to learn and develop their skills. No housing will be provided.

Departments Available:


The Accounting Intern will assist the Finance & Accounting team with various accounting and financial tasks while gaining valuable experience and exposure to the accounting profession. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic and highly motivated.

Sutainability Operations:

As a Sustainability Intern, you will be supporting the Florida Panthers Organization in conducting a comprehensive sustainability project. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting the execution of an environmental assessment with a focus on greenhouse gas emissions accounting and management. You will be working closely with all departments and cross-functional teams within the organization to help conduct assessments, generate a report indicating an overall sustainability baseline, and create operations and management plans.

Desired Qualifications:

  • UM Grad Students ONLY
  • Excellent oral and written communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic a must. Must have a “team-first” mentality with an eagerness to learn

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Must be able to work flexible hours.
