The Atlanta Hawks are seeking a dynamic Manager of Community Impact to lead the execution of strategic initiatives that deliver measurable outcomes and maximize resource utilization. This role is focused on strengthening our connection to the Greater Atlanta community through impactful activations that align with our mission and values.

We are looking for an individual who is deeply passionate about service and committed to fostering cross-departmental collaboration. The ideal candidate will excel in working with global and community partners to execute innovative, community-focused programs that amplify our impact and engagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Assist in the implementation of the community impact strategy to align with the organization’s mission, values, and business objectives.
  • Develop and execute innovative programs that address the needs of the Metro Atlanta community and reflect the Hawks' service pillars and NBA Social Impact priorities
  • Provide guidance and oversight to Community Impact Coordinators, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and fostering professional development.
  • Encourage a culture of innovation within the team, empowering members to contribute big ideas that enhance the department's vision.
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective execution of community initiatives.
  • Cultivate and strengthen partnerships with community organizations, nonprofits, civic leaders, and global partners to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the global partnership activation team to manage and deliver impactful, partnership-driven initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Player Engagement to support community initiatives driven by basketball operations team.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of inclusive community programs, ensuring alignment with goals and measurable outcomes.
  • Track, analyze, and report community impact data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and drive continuous improvement.
  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in community relations, nonprofit organizations, event management, or the sports industry.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing and leading teams.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
  • Skilled in leading meetings, managing competing priorities, and ensuring effective project execution.
  • Strong customer service mindset with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure, apply analytical thinking, and proactively solve problems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience working with student-athletes or professional athletes on community initiatives
