The Toronto Blue Jays Ballpark Set up Operations Department is looking for enthusiastic people to join our Ballpark Setup team and fill positions as Ballpark Setup Attendant.

Reporting to the Manager of Ballpark Operations, this position is responsible for the setup and tear down of tables, chairs etc. for various events hosted at Rogers Centre, including but not limited to, Baseball games, meetings, presentations, training courses, camps, clinics, concerts, trade shows etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • General labor

  • Distribution, setup and removal of tables and chairs for various events

  • Distribution, setup and removal of stanchions, turnstiles and barricades for various events

  • Distribution, setup and removal of pipe and drapes for various events

  • Cleaning and maintenance of equipment listed above

  • Loading and unloading of various equipment and supplies

  • Cleaning of workshops and storage areas

  • Participation in on-going department projects as assigned

  • Assist with the setup or maintenance of the baseball field as required

  • Maintain strong, cooperative inter-department relationships

QUALIFICATIONS

Ballpark attendants must be able to work home games (evenings, weekends, and holidays) and other Rogers Centre concerts/events as required

  • Eligible to work in Canada

  • Must have obtained an Ontario Secondary School Diploma, or equivalent

  • Excellent work ethic and objectivity

  • Energetic and motivated

  • Self-starter with ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to safely lift 23 kg (Approximately 50 lbs.)

  • Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, team environment

  • Ability to operate utility vehicles such as golf carts

  • Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
