Sheffield United Football Club is seeking a compassionate, empathetic individual to join our Matchday team as a Sensory Room Supervisor. This vital role will play a crucial part in ensuring that supporters with additional sensory needs can enjoy a positive and inclusive matchday experience at Bramall Lane.


Role Responsibilities:

  • To be the main point of contact for supporters using the Sensory Room on matchdays.
  • To meet and greet supporters using the Sheffield United Sensory Room on matchdays, showing them where the Sensory Room is and where to enter and exit the stadium.
  • To assist those using the Sensory Room with directions, such as to toilets or to the outdoor seating area.
  • To ensure the Sensory Room is set up ready for use each game and all equipment is checked and working.
  • To report any issues or concerns immediately to the Supporter Liaison & Disability Access Manager.
  • Any other reasonable requests as directed by management.


Club Wide Responsibilities:

  • To adhere to all Sheffield United Football Club's Safeguarding Policies and Procedures to foster an environment which protects from harm those defined as children and adults at risk.
  • To report any concerns of a Safeguarding nature to the relevant parties and remain fully compliant with any applicable Safeguarding checks and due diligence and recognise your responsibility to the Club's Safeguarding agenda.
  • To report any concerns of discrimination to the relevant parties and promote a welcoming and inclusive club environment for all.
  • To adhere to the Club's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policies, supporting the Club to create an environment which is inclusive and all-encompassing.
  • To carry out/take part in training requests as directed by the Club.


Essential Criteria for the Role:

  • Experience of working with Children and/or adults with additional support requirements (including but not limited to: Autism, ADHD, Hypersensitivity to light/sound).
  • To be a friendly and approachable member of the Fan Experience team who is able to build a great rapport with supporters using the Sheffield United Sensory Room.
