Position Concept: Performs a variety of conversion services to properly and efficiently set up and tear down event related materials according to the expectations of First & Goal Inc., the Seattle Seahawks and the NFL. Reports to Conversion Lead
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The ability to read event related material including Manifest and floor plans and properly configure conversion sets. Make suggestions regarding proper placement of furniture or equipment keeping in mind egress and crowd control policies
Perform all conversion tasks to include erecting pipe and drape, topping and skirting tables, setting risers and stages, placing chairs, and other equipment properly and safely. When striking store equipment in the proper location in a neat and organized manner
The ability to learn new conversion type tasks as pertains to WaMu theater install and strike, i.e. Chair set on floor and risers, operating truss motor controls, stage construction, etc.
Always utilize available material to safely handle and transport conversion equipment eliminating possible damage
Able to operate a variety of equipment pertaining to the set up and tear down of a variety of scenarios, including forklifts, high lifts, and both gas and electric carts
The ability to operate cleaning equipment and products to be able to present clean and sanitized conversion equipment and a clean workplace
Installation and removal of field protection equipment including polyethylene barriers, Portafloor, plywood and other materials
Limited supervision of Conversion crew, to include full-time, part-time, and contracted employees. Provides limited training in proper techniques and procedures and proper use of equipment. The ability to understand conversion timelines, goals, quality-assurance, safety procedures, and finds way to increase efficiencies and minimize property loss and/or damage
The ability to confirm event information from the Logistics Manager and Conversion Lead and execute accordingly
Help maintain and manage inventory control and proper storage of equipment, tools, and supplies as needed and works closely with Conversion Lead to ensure that all equipment is maintained in excellent working order
Receive upon arrival, inventory and collect after use, all rental equipment making sure it is all accounted for. Immediately report when items are missing
Fill out daily reports and payroll reports in a timely manner to ensure accuracy and timeliness
Maintain an organized and clean shop
Always strive to maintain a safe workplace
Special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
When applying for this position an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual must have a minimum of 1600 hours working at this or a similar facility performing similar tasks. If available, the applicant’s performance will be reviewed prior to approval.
Experience/Certifications: Other Skills:
Must be able to understand verbal and written conversational English instruction
Experience in conversion tasks and the equipment pertaining to them are helpful
Knowledge of hazardous materials desired (training will be provided in both areas)
Positive attitude with strong customer service skills
Must be able to learn and adjust to new procedures and techniques
