TITLE: Game Night Staff

POSITION TYPE: Part Time/Seasonal, Non-Exempt

LOCATION: SAP Center & Tech CU Arena

REPORTS TO: Media Relations Coordinator


Pay Range: The pay range for this role is $20.00 per hour

Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Position Overview:

Members of the Game Night Staff, working under the direction of the Media Relations Manager & Media Relations Coordinator, assist the Sharks media relations department in the distribution of game-related information to members of the media and other constituents at Sharks home games. Each member is expected to attend scheduled home games from approximately 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. for 7:30 p.m. game times (please note that occasional games will start earlier or later, and the scheduled shifts will be adjusted based on the game time).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the collection and distribution of game-related information and notes to various areas of SAP Center on Sharks home game nights.
  • Serve as the press box public address announcer.
  • Assisting with the tracking and assistance of staff and media in the press room.
  • Assist in capturing and distributing post-game audio from team locker rooms.
  • Assist with various tasks as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work 4-5 hours for Sharks home games.
  • Proficiency in oral and written communication including editing.
  • Maintain consistently reliable attendance.
  • Flexibility in performing assignments, responding to frequent changes in direction or focus and juggling multiple projects/tasks.
  • Interpersonal skills specific to media and “high profile” situations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and media on a consistent basis.
  • Understanding and ability to work with confidential material.
  • This job will require availability to work shifts outside of SSE’s typical business hours. With advance notice, you may be scheduled to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to bend at the waist, reach overhead and lift up to 15 lbs with or without accommodation.
  • Physically navigate stairs and catwalks at SSE facilities during normal work hours and events with or without accommodation
  • Must have the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
