Your role as a Barista:
You will be responsible for the preparation and service of Padres Perk beverages, including a variety of hot and iced coffees, teas, and specialty drinks. You will actively engage with customers and collaborate with fellow Baristas to prepare beverage orders and provide quality customer service. You will maintain the cleanliness of the Padres Perk workspace, monitor inventory, and ensure all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.

Preparing beverages, both standard and customized, which may include tailoring ingredients to the customers liking
Providing optimal customer service by engaging with customers while preparing orders
Monitoring inventory and replenishing items as necessary
Ensuring the workspace is clean, organized, and properly maintained
Able to perform a variety of tasks, as requested, within the organization during each shift

Exceptional time management and organizational skills with capacity to handle high volumes of work, multi-task, and maintain a clean and organized workspace

Maintain consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance
You will be required to meet the following:
Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of employment
Prior barista experience is preferred, but not required. Training will be provided
Able to work flexible hours that may include early mornings
Minimum physical requirements: able to lift and transport up to 25 pounds
As a condition of employment, you must successfully complete all post-offer, pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check
Salary and additional compensation:
Per the California pay transparency law, the hourly pay rate for this position is $17.91. Part time, non-union employees are subject to the San Diego Living Wage Ordinance and rates will increase accordingly.
