Job Description

Your main role as an Assistant Financial Accountant would be to assist in the preparation and support all Financial and Tax matters for both the Month and Year End closing. This would be inclusive of Statutory Accounts preparation, the Year End audit process, and the Month End reconciliations.

Principal accountabilities of this Assistant Financial Accountant position:

You will assist in the preparation of Month End financial accounting reviews, ad hoc papers, ad hoc reviews including TP, SAO and WHT.
Reporting on Monthly Corporate Tax and preparing Monthly VAT returns in accordance.
Proficiently supporting Year End Statutory Accounts as well as the Audit process.
Responsible for preparing and submitting monthly ONS survey responses to tight deadlines and ensuring all data is accurate.
In addition, you will also assist Financial Accounting and the Tax Team with any additional ad hoc projects and tasks required by them and the wider business where required.

Essential Competencies:

Fully AAT qualified, or ACCA/ACA Part Qualified.
Experience as a Financial Accounts Assistant or within a similar role within financial reporting would be highly beneficial to completion of the role.
Have an analytic and logical approach when reviewing multiple data sets.
Carry excellent communication skills; both verbal and written.
Could work successfully both as part of a team and autonomously when required building versatile working relationships with colleagues.
Experienced in using SAP; not essential but would be extremely beneficial.
