The Philadelphia Flyers are one of the NHL’s marquee franchises and have one of the most layal and passionate fanbases in sports. The Philadelphia Wings are a National Lacrosse League franchise heading into their 4th season and also have a loyal, loud and proud fanbase.
Overview:
Comcast Spectacor & Entertainment is seeking a qualified individual to drive results for the group sales department. The ideal candidate has experience with the group sales process, is able to drive new business and provides exceptional service to our customers.
This role focus on selling group tickets for the Philadelphia Flyers, Philadelphia Wings, and Wells Fargo Center Events, as well as cross sell membership options and premium seating packages. This individual will have a specialized focus for the oversight, development, and management of the hockey ticketing initiatives to leverage and maintain revenue opportunities.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop, grow, and maintain strong relationships with hockey coaches, managers, rinks, and tournament directors to ensure they know of all the ticketing opportunities the Philadelphia Flyers have to offer
Work with our community relations and charities departments to support programs such as Learn to Play Hockey, Learn to Play Ball Hockey, Rink Alliance, and others into revenue streams
Work with Rinks to promote and sell ticket packages to adult leagues, tournament teams, and other rink run programming
Create customized group outing packages that align with fan experience offerings such as pre/post game ice times, non-event day ice times, high fivers and blue line buddies, team photos on the ice or Flyers bench, photos with Gritty, meeting space, hospitality areas, program nights, and more
Utilize sales skills via cold calling, face to face meeting appointments both in arena and out of office, email correspondence, direct mail, and ability to speak in a sales presentation environment to a large crowd
Ability to execute game day fulfillment of the experiences by being welcoming and engaging, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills
Generate leads independently through prospecting, canvassing, networking, and referrals
Maintain detailed and accurate computerized records of all client interactions in the CRM database
Cross sell groups into other offerings such as premium hospitality areas, Philadelphia Wings lacrosse, family shows, and concerts. Other events include Villanova Basketball, The Harlem Globetrotters, WWE, Disney on Ice, Tinseltown Holiday Spectacular, and other events as assigned
Job function requires working games and other events to support sales initiatives; in addition to being available for nights, weekends, and occasional holidays
Job Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related field required
Well connected within the hockey community and able to build new standing relationships
Consultative selling skills to build rapport and trust with clients
Driven to meet and exceed sales goals
