GAME NIGHT PUBLIC RELATIONS INTERNSHIP - Philadelphia Flyers (Philadelphia, PA)

Full/Part: Internship (Part)

Base Salary: Hourly

Total Compensation: Hourly

Reports To: Full-Time Flyers PR Staff

Number of Positions: 5

Type: Paid

Hours: Approximately eight hours per home game worked; nights, weekends and holidays participation is required based on the Flyers schedule

Qualifications:

  • Open to college students only; Junior, Senior, and Graduate Students studying in a related major
  • 3.3 GPA or higher
  • Internship is paid, however travel and housing arrangements are the responsibility of the students
  • Availability on nights, weekends, and holidays are required based on Flyers schedule
  • Preference given to candidates who are available to work the full season through the end of the Stanley Cup Playoffs if needed

Internship Objectives include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Learn to plan and execute game-day activities, including the distribution of game notes and press credentials, setting up of press box, assistance with press box operations during games, and the recording and transcribing of post-game press conferences
  • Learn about and assist with the various types of ways the department distributes information, including press releases, press conferences, and public events
  • Perform all other objectives, projects and responsibilities as assigned
