Account Director, Business Development

Account Directors with Senators Sports & Entertainment are outbound sales directors responsible for generating revenue through the sale of premium seats (suites, premium season ticket packages and group sales) within the guidelines and standards determined by the Associate Director – Corporate Sales.

Reports to: Senior Director – Ticket Sales & Services

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Represent the Ottawa Senators in a professional manner within the Ottawa-Gatineau business community.

  • Responsible for the sales of ticket packages, premium hospitality, group/suite outings, and corporate sales properties.

  • Initiate aggressive outbound phone activity, establish working relationships, and drive prospecting through:

    • Local businesses and associations

    • Casual ticket purchasers

    • Former season seat and suite clients

    • Current customers (upgrade sales & referrals)

    • Your professional network

  • Provide customers with outstanding service in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Contribute to the sales team atmosphere in a positive manner by developing mutually beneficial working relationships with all sales team members.

  • Game night responsibilities in terms of client hosting, networking, and attending sales kiosks to direct client inquiries.

  • Record all activity and sales pipeline details in the CRM system.

  • Participate and contribute to weekly sales team meetings and training sessions.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Associate Director

Requirements

  • Minimum three years of experience in an outbound B2B prospecting and lead generation role.

  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets on an annual basis.

  • Experience in leading client diagnostic meetings at client workplaces as well as creating and delivering client proposals to drive revenue.

  • Driven by results and excelling in a competitive environment while also contributing to a team-based atmosphere.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and oral).

  • Strong work ethic and a desire to build a career in professional sports.

  • Able and willing to work extended hours (nights, weekends, and holidays).

  • Bilingualism is an asset (English & French).

  • Valid driver’s license and access to your own transportation.

  • Knowledge of Sales Force, MS Office, LinkedIn, and other forms of digital media considered an asset.

  • Knowledge and a contact base within the Ottawa-Gatineau business community is ideal.
