We are looking for an email enthusiast that has a true appreciation for the nuances and opportunity that email marketing provides. The primary responsibility of the Digital Marketing Designer - Email is to own the end-to-end implementation of our email marketing campaigns. This team member will serve a key role in the development of our email customer journeys, ensuring a personalized and engaging experience for our fans. As a central member of the Digital Marketing team, this role will support customer acquisition, engagement, retention and monetization efforts.
What the Digital Marketing Designer - Email will be responsible for:
Email Design, Development & Deployment
Responsible for end-to-end creation of our email Marketing campaigns using the latest trends in design and email development best practices
Manages all email deployments within email service provider from upload through deployment
Assists with definition and creation of audience segments for ad-hoc and automated campaigns as needed
Ensures a seamless customer experience from email through landing page
Tests and troubleshoots display issues across multiple browsers and email providers
Creates graphics and animated gifs for use in email
Manages setup of triggered campaigns utilizing campaign automation platform
Constantly seeks opportunities to gain efficiencies throughout our development and approval processes
Strategy & Planning
Serves as email marketing subject matter expert, making recommendations to internal departments to identify, prioritize and execute new communication needs and opportunities
Identifies areas of improvement within our customer service experience and opportunities to increase revenue utilizing email marketing
Assists with definition of our omnichannel lifecycle marketing ensuring that email is integrated to optimize conversion in an efficient manner
Creates highly targeted and personalized emails utilizing dynamic content, audience segments, data fields, etc.
Works with Legal and CRM teams to ensure compliance at all times with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL and COPPA laws
Test, Optimize & Innovate
Strives for continuous optimization by analyzing ad-hoc and ongoing campaigns to identify areas for improvement
Develop A/B test strategies that drive optimization and future messaging strategies
Works with technology providers like Movable Ink and Automated Insights to ideate new ways to create engaging fan experiences
Partners with our graphic and content production teams to ensure we are featuring our best content and optimizing the fan experience
What the Digital Marketing Designer - Email needs to have:
College degree requirement: four-year degree in Web Design and Development, Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience
2+ years of experience managing an email marketing program: Marketo, Eloqua, etc.
Advanced knowledge of email design, coding and marketing best practices
Proficient in Photoshop and Dreamweaver
Experience testing and troubleshooting in multiple browsers or email clients with a strong sense of web design and user experience fundamentals
Hands-on experience running A/B tests and monitoring relevant metrics
2+ years of experience in online B2C marketing preferred
Innovative thinker that constantly strives to bring fresh new ideas to the team
Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail
