2024 Internship, Spring - Special Events
The New York Red Bulls are one of 29 teams in Major League Soccer (MLS). RBNY, one of the ten charter clubs of MLS, have competed in the league since its founding in 1996. The Red Bulls play home matches at Red Bull Arena (RBA) in Harrison, New Jersey. The three-time MLS Supporters' Shield Winners are owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull for which the team is named. The New York Red Bulls offer one of the nation's premier youth soccer development programs, from local soccer partnerships across New York and New Jersey to Regional Development Schools and the Red Bulls Academy teams.
The Special Events Sales Intern will come away with knowledge on how we book new events at Red Bull Arena on non-matchdays. You will gain an understanding in the efforts of selling, planning and executing of events booked at Red Bull Arena.
CREATIVE THINKING
- Strategizing new types of events ot bring to RBA
- Researching new ways to find customers
- Thinking up new events we can create to bring fans to RBA
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
- Gain an understanding of the event business
- Connect with leaders in the event industry
- Research on best practices to win new events
COLLABORATION
- Provide support of set up and breakdown of all events
- Provide operations support at MLS matches where necessary
- Able to work nights and weekends to execute events
No experience necessary! This is an opportunity to gain the knowledge you seek to become an asset in the events business.
This is an unpaid, for credit internship (proof that you will receive credit is required).
This is a hybrid position but full day in the office is mandatory.
