Job Description:
The New York Mets Fan Greeter position is a part-time role which serves to provide guests with information that will help make their experience more enjoyable. These staff members are present at all VIP gates to check tickets for access, answering question and directing line traffic on the exterior of the ballpark, and are also positioned in the Jackie Robinson Rotunda to greet guests as they ascend the escalators through the main entrance of the building. Fan Greeters are expected to help create special memories for every individual who arrives at Citi Field.
Providing wheelchair assistance to guests during ingress and egress.
Greeting guests as they enter and leave the Citi Field grounds.
Enforcing VIP access at our premium gates.
Answering pre/post-game related questions guests may have during their visit.
Volunteering to help the Guest Experience department with errands during events.
Effective communication, a positive energetic personality, and a genuine willingness to work in a team.
Punctuality is key for this position, including arriving before the start of roll call, responding to work emails and reporting back from break in a timely fashion.
Standing on your feet for long periods of time.
Good listening skills are imperative as gameday information is discussed pre-game during roll call, in order for staff members to deliver the most up-to-date information to guests.
A flexible schedule for some weekday afternoons, nights, weekends and holidays during the baseball season with a required availability for mid-March training dates.
Reliable transportation to and from the ballpark.
Must be able to work approximately 30 minutes past the end of all major events.
Prior customer service and hospitality experience preferred.

Pay Rate:
$18.65 hourly
