How to Make the Team

We are hiring for a Manager of Business Systems to manage the technology systems for all New York Islanders entities. A strategic thinker who is able to identify technology trends that will support the success of our business. With this role we are looking for someone to identify and improve our internal business and technology systems while delivering the highest of standards.

You will report directly to the Senior Director of Technology and will engage frequently with all departments across the New York Islanders organization.

Show Us You Can

  • Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT software projects and initiatives to support and enhance existing systems and processes
  • Identify opportunities that can improve efficiency of business processes to achieve established department and organizational goals
  • Coordinate and lead application development for multiple projects
  • Troubleshoot software application issues
  • Work with Senior Director of Technology in managing outsourced relationships for 3rd party software applications.
  • Provide MS Azure Active Directory and Azure Cloud administration
  • Produce technical procedures and documentation for new and existing software applications, including operations, user guides, etc.
  • Advise business users in the effective use of applications and information technology
  • Provide training to staff members on the use of software applications and other technology tools in the business
  • Provide help desk support to internal users as needed

Your Equipment

  • Minimum of 5 years of IT systems experience
  • Post secondary degree in computer science or related field or a combination of related experience and education
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Azure, MS SQL and MS Cloud administration
  • Experience in MS Power Apps, Flow, Sharepoint and network administration
  • Experience in various SSO authentication configuration
  • Strong organization and project management experience
  • Very strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities
  • Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, with changing priorities
  • Willingness to work occasionally outside normal business hours
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills
  • Curious to learn and build upon already existing skill set
