
Digital Editorial Intern
Overview: The New York Giants Digital Editorial Intern will work as editorial support for Giants.com, the Giants app, the Giants newsletter, Connected TV, and additional digital and social media channels. One of the primary responsibilities will be transcribing player, coach and front office interviews. This is a full-time internship working approximately 40 hours per week, plus game days and occasional weekends and holidays. The internship would begin in mid-July and end two weeks after the season is completed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Transcribe player, coach, and front office interviews for the Giants editorial staff
Write and strategize editorial content for team platforms
Assist with drafting media guide biographies
Assist with gathering and researching information to be used on team platforms
Proofread and edit media guide biographies and articles for various publications
Publish content to team platforms
Research and audit best in class sports and entertainment
Assist social media team by following trends and contributing ideas
Qualifications:
Must have strong typing, transcribing, and writing skills
Experience in journalism, strong writing skills, and general New York Giants and NFL knowledge
Ability to clearly communicate technical subject matter to colleagues
Able to maintain confidentiality and use discretion when privy to sensitive information
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to manage their own individual projects
Presents self in professional manner and has the ability to interact with all levels of organization and outside contacts
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Team player attitude and willing to jump in wherever necessary
Ability to work independently when given a task
Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
