
Director, Ticketing & Premium Seating

OVERVIEW
Serve as a member of NHL’s Fan Engagement & Analytics group, specifically focused on leading the NHL’s relationships with Club ticketing and premium seating personnel
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the primary NHL Club resource for best practice sharing across Club ticketing and premium seating departments
Lead the content development for NHL’s Club-facing in-person Workshops including the NHL Ticketing Workshop, ALSD, and significant portions of the NHL’s Club Business Meetings
Create standard leaguewide best practices and encourage implementation at the Club level
Lead leaguewide conference calls targeted to specific areas of the business including ticket sales, ticket service, group sales and premium seating
Produce and utilize insights based on Club and League (BLADE) data to provide guidance and expertise to all Club ticket and premium sales departments
Lead the NHL’s efforts to understand and leverage new trends related to ticket sales and service
Develop and maintain close relationships with NHL Club ticketing and premium personnel while working to optimize the Clubs’ respective business operations
Liaise with vendors and perform outside research to provide Clubs with guidance on broader sports business trends
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be creative and able to synthesize succinct findings from large quantities of information
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
Ability to interpret quantitative data and disseminate findings
Strong written and verbal communication skills with competencies in planning and project management
Competency using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and professionalism and use independent discretion when sharing information
Ability to travel (domestic and international) periodically for business purposes and to work long hours as department workflow necessitates
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university is strongly preferred
7+ years of work experience in a similar role
Recent sales or service experience at a major professional sports team (NHL, MLB, MLS, NBA, NFL)
Experience with various ticketing systems (e.g., Ticketmaster/Archtics, etc.) preferred
Experience interacting with third party vendors

Salary range for this role is $125K to $150K
