Sr. Manager – Data & Analytics

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Manager of Analytics to join our Data & Analytics team at the NFL. The Senior Manager of Analytics will be based out of the League’s New York office and will be responsible for managing stakeholders from the Club Business Development department and the 32 clubs. They will primarily focus on supporting club local revenue optimization activities using fan data, including overall ticketing, premium and sponsorship reporting analysis and measurement, stadium pricing and predictive modeling for ticketing use cases. The role also entails ensuring the accuracy and quality of data to the NFL’s ticketing data standardization platforms. The candidate should possess a strong background in data structures, analytics, data quality management, and have experience in effectively utilizing customer data to understand behavioral patterns. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field like economics, business analytics, or a related discipline, along with at least 6 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and collaborate with stakeholders from Club Business Development and the 32 clubs to understand their analytics needs and deliver actionable insights.

  • Oversee the development and ongoing maintenance of comprehensive analytics platforms to support ticketing, premium seating and sponsorship analytics and insights.

  • Support ticketing analytics activities by analyzing campaign performance, measuring marketing effectiveness, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Utilize fan data to perform in-depth analysis of ticketing, premium and sponsorship behaviors, including segmentation, customer profiling, and predictive modeling.

  • Effectively communicate analytical findings to stakeholders, translating complex data analysis into clear and concise insights.

  • Collaborate with BI and technology teams to ensure that ticketing platforms are receiving accurate and relevant data.

  • Monitor and maintain data quality, performing regular audits and validations to ensure integrity and reliability of ticketing, premium and sponsorship data.

  • Perform data extraction, transformation and analysis using SQL, Python, and Dataiku.

  • Develop and implement attribution models to measure the impact of different League-provided data products.

  • Work with the BI COE to create dashboards to provide insights and recommendations based on analytics findings.

  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in club analytics and data quality management.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Club Business Development, Marketing and the 32 clubs to align analytics initiatives and drive data-driven decision-making.

  • Collaborate with analytics consulting vendors.

  • Foster a collaborative and agile work environment, leveraging tools like Jira for project management and task tracking.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Business Analytics, Statistics, or related disciplines.

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in marketing analytics, preferably with a focus on campaign performance analysis and measurement.

  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL and Python.

  • Proven track record delivering data platforms at scale and ensuring data quality/integrity.

  • Solid understanding of local club economics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing and mentoring a team of analysts.

  • Industry certifications in analytics or related fields.

  • Experience working with sports data and utilizing it effectively for revenue driving/reporting purposes analytics.

  • Experience with Ticketmaster and/or Seatgeek data

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex analytical findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Salary / Pay Range

The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week.
