Job Summary

This position is part of a growing Growth and Media team with the mission to discover, inspire, and engage fans around the world. This role will be responsible for marketing technology globally for the NBA’s newest products and features aimed at growing fandom, consumption, and engagement, including Tune-in, Brand, NBA TV, NBA League Pass, the NBA app, and membership programs. This role drives new Marketing Technology capability enablement. They will play a crucial role in modernizing and transforming marketing technologies by following best practices for building scalable solutions and understanding market trends and business needs.

This person is a subject matter expert for our technology platforms, designing and delivering a stack that will transform the marketing future. You will serve as the liaison with several cross-functional partners and external vendors. You have strong business sense and are comfortable rolling up your sleeves to implement, learn, educate, and inspire. Marketing Technology includes owned and paid subscriber acquisition (Google, Meta, DV360, Impact Affiliate, Wunderkind, and other social and ad tech platforms), MTA attribution models, CRM (Braze), CDP, Kochavadata analytics.

Major Responsibilities

  • Applies broad business, technology, and management expertise to drive the technology solutions for business value across the entire NBA business
  • Lead and enhance the Marketing Technology function in partnership with Data, Product, and Growth leaders within a cross-functional team
  • Product Manages all marketing tech, working with data leadership as a representative for the entire organization
  • Drive business requirements, technology, and growth marketing roadmap to enable marketing efficiency and scalability
  • Own strategy and implementation of our Marketing Technology platforms across acquisition, MTA models, CRM, and select data platforms
  • Support acquisition and retention strategies through first-party data segmentation and activation via our CDP
  • Stay on top of industry trends and dynamic Marketing Technologies that we can apply to increase the output of our digital business
  • Work closely with Marketing stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver them
  • Program manages the implementation of new technology, updates to existing technology, and new processes to ensure timely and comprehensive execution
  • Act as a technical advocate for all owned and paid acquisition marketing initiatives, including building cases for sprint planning and proselytizing goals and business impact for priorities
  • Leads platform decisions, technical implementation, and issue remediation, working collaboratively with other partners across the company.
  • Uses industry experience and a deep understanding of technology to identify and call out significant strategic and operational risks proactively; communicate risks and issues clearly and effectively to cross-functional partners; and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external resources to mitigate risks and resolve issues.
  • Educates partners on existing technology capabilities and influences and develops capability roadmaps across channels.

Required Education/Professional Experience

  • BA/BS required; MBA is a plus

Salary Range: $160,000 - $190,000
