About the Role:

Responsible for all aspects of the F&M Bank Arena Game Presentation and AV Operations department as well as event support for shows held at F&M Bank Arena.

Job Responsibilities
- Manage the facilitation of design and creation of video/motion graphic elements and animations to be use for:
- LED signage (inner bowl and exterior displays).
- In-arena programming (center hung video boards).
- In-game video production projects.
- Creation and implementation of Motion Rocket graphics for in game purposes.
- Responsible for hiring and managing part time gameday staff for game production.
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair complex electronic, computer based, optical and mechanical broadcasting systems. IE: Control room equipment, LED Video Boards, PA systems, Graphics Systems, IPTV System.
- Prepare and maintain various technical records and engineering logs pertaining to broadcast equipment, audio visual, performance and discrepancies according to regulations.
- Test and align new equipment prior to installation at FMBA.
- Provide support, setup, and tear out of events.
- In conjunction with the Information Technology department, support all technical aspects of new audio and visual technology rollouts at FMBA.
- Provide budget information to support the implementation of new systems.
- Provide technical support to operational users.
- Manage video content (Ross Xpression and Motion Rocket) including video of graphic creations, input, and operation during all home games for FMBA events.
- Design and create graphic elements as required based on game day/event digital signage Ad calendar ensuring adherence to brand standards.
- Work closely with tenant marketing team to ensure consistency of FMBA brand messaging and standards.
- Be proficient in all aspects of game night staff positions, as they pertain to game presentation and any correlating departments.
- Perform other duties or assist in other projects as assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electronics, broadcasting, communications, or related field preferred.
- Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of broadcast operations.
- Knowledge of maintenance and usage of technical production equipment.
- Knowledge of the following equipment: Newtek Tricaster, Broadcast Cameras (Hitachi), AJA Audio/Video routers, Ross Xpression, Motion Rocket, Yamaha Audio Consoles, Clear Comm, Vitec IPTV.
- Basic knowledge of IP Networking.
- Knowledge of signal flow.
- Self-starter, able to work efficiently without direct supervision.
- Be able to read and understand technical materials.
- Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time, and work on several projects simultaneously.
- Strong computer software background using Adobe and Microsoft Suites.
- Must have experience and knowledge of all aspects of video productions such as pre-production, shooting, video and audio editing, and motion graphics as well as live broadcasting production such as planning, preparation, and understanding broadcast technology workflows.
- Live sports television or game presentation experience is a plus.
- Strong video editing skills required.
- Excellent computer skills.
- The selected candidate must be able to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- As a condition of employment, qualified applicants will be subject to a background check, including a criminal history check, driving history and character references.
- Possess a valid driver’s license, possess a suitable driving history and be insurable by SS&E’s insurance carrier (without conditions).
Essential Physical Requirements
- Must be able to perform physical work which includes lifting and carrying equipment up to 75lbs.
- Ability to climb portable and fixed ladders.
- Ability to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least 8 hours per day.
- Ability to bend, kneel and work with arms raised for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to climb over and into heavy equipment several times per day.
- Occasional working at heights above 10 ft. and up to 100 ft. at times.
- Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust.
