Senior Manager, Operations
Our Operations team provides world-class experiences, putting service at the heart of everything we do and playing a critical part in our organization. Our team thrives on their flexibility and ability to observe the obvious, while always striving to achieve the highest level of standards in every job we do. Our team sees the arena and event spaces from the guest's point of view – ensuring every detail is taken care of and our Senior Operations Manager is at the heart of bringing that vision to life!
As the Senior Operations Manager, YOU:
Motivate and lead teams to be show ready. Our arena and convention center is where the action happens, and our team focuses on the guests’ experience through attention to the smallest details. From the hours before our guests and clients arrive, you work with your team to ensure the spaces are clean and sparkling, event spaces are set up with utmost precision, and our earth-friendly initiatives are kept on track. You do this through attention to detail and knowing your people to help bring the best out of them. Our efforts are reflected in the smile on our guests’ faces and the roar of the crowd because we made their experience memorable.
Solve problems as you see them. Our teams are focused on getting better every day and you’re at the center of all we do. We expect you don’t wait for permission but seek out solutions to problems. Our work can only be met with solutions and ultimate success. We need your perspective, themes, and ideas that continue to inform our initiatives that impact our guest’s experiences. Your ability to operate and train the staff on how to do maintenance, custodial and operational activities will be critical to the success of this work.
Are the example of flexible. Our Senior Assistant Manager will not have a consistent set of daily tasks but will respond to what is happening on our campus to determine priorities and timelines. And while the list of the work may vary, the quality of the work never deviates. This work requires attention to detail and the ability to adapt to all scenarios to complete the overnight work successfully.
YOU ARE A:
Day-Maker. Our team and business run on relationships. Commitment, professionalism, and reliability are at the heart of building strong bonds across all our partnerships. However, that is not enough. You act not only as a leader but a team member. You shine a light on the things you see, help employees navigate murky waters, and provide candid (caring deeply, communicating directly) feedback to help every employee become the best version of themselves.
Inspiring Leader. Our team runs on relationships. Confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion are at the heart of building strong bonds across all our partnerships. But, that’s not enough. You act as a strategic leader and thought partner, shining a light on things you see, helping navigate murky waters, and sparking potential within your team and partners to help them become the best version of themselves. We rely on you to lead and supervise our lead custodian, custodian, and maintenance personnel who contributed to the operation. The success of the Operations department is built on cooperation and trust.
Driven Executor. We believe extensive ideas reap even bigger rewards when managed effectively. Everything we do touches people, so flawless execution is non-negotiable. Our work can be fast-paced, and it can be easy to lose sight of the details, but that is where the magic is at. With ruthless prioritization, we focus on getting things done quickly and flawlessly. Of course, we are not perfect, so when mistakes are made, we step up, take responsibility and issue meaningful apologies when we are wrong.
Servant Leader. At Minnesota Sports and Entertainment, everything we do is grounded in serving. We serve our organization, each other, our fans, and our community. Leadership is not a rank, it is not about being in charge; it is about taking care of those in our charge. We inspire those around us to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more.
THE MINNESOTA WILD WILL:
Listen to you. We need your thoughts, ideas and passion to help make this the best team in events and sports. You talk, we’ll listen.
Treat you like an adult. We will trust you to get the work done in a way that makes sense for you. We measure output, not desk time.
Challenge you. We promise you'll be surrounded by people equally committed to the Minnesota Sports and Entertainment organization and to our Minnesota Wild. You won’t find more passionate people all focused on creating a Greater State of Hockey. Go Wild!
Commit to diversity, equity & inclusion. We drive social change and foster inclusivity by providing a safe, positive, and welcoming environment for you, all community members and employees regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, background or experience.
