Position Summary: The individual in this role is responsible for shooting and editing team features and raw video for social media, YouTube, team websites, and broadcast.

  1. Produce videos from concept to completion. Meet with stakeholders, develop, and execute creative.
  2. Shoot and edit video including long form storytelling and quick hit social media piece
  3. Collaborate with partnership departments to shoot and edit videos and advertisements for corporate sponsors.
  4. Maintain archival standards and digital libraries
  5. Maintain and upkeep video equipment.

​​ Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other:

  1. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop (including video animation and graphics experience).
  2. Proficient in shooting video with DSLR cameras and knowledge of lenses and camera functionality. Maintain knowledge of industry trends for cameras, lighting, and other equipment.
  3. Experience working with Microsoft Office products strongly preferred.
  4. Experience developing creative direction for videos and knowledge of production process from concept to completion preferred.
  5. Able to work on a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  6. Strong understanding of social platforms and social video best practices.

Experience: Video production experience required, and proficiency in creating content and ideas catering to social media is strongly preferred. Please include reel or examples of your best work in your resume or cover letter.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is strongly preferred.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. In addition to working office hours staff will work Timberwolves and Lynx games as well as external events including but not limited to: charity and networking events. Work is both sedentary and active in nature. The working environment is generally favorable, and office lighting and temperature are adequate. Work is generally performed within an office environment with standard office equipment available. This job also operates in a sports arena, which includes bleachers/steps as well as moderate noise levels.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, kneel, or crawl while carrying a recording device. The employee may frequently remain in a stationary position, as well as operate computers and other office equipment, such as a copy machine, printer and telephone. Staff will frequently ascend and descend bleachers/steps and traverse around the building both on event days and non-event days. Staff may occasionally move items weighing up to 30 pounds.
