Position Summary: The primary focus of this position is to lead paid media marketing across the Timberwolves and Lynx. This individual will work with the marketing & creative team, cross-functional partners and external agencies to deliver best-in-class strategies, plans and activations that drive revenue, customer acquisition, and brand love.

What would you do?

  1. Lead paid media strategy, planning and activations for all campaigns, working with the Director of Marketing to deliver on campaign objectives

  1. Manage the media agency relationship & oversight of work – from planning to execution to reporting

  1. Identify key testing opportunities, in partnership with the media agency, and oversees execution and recapping of these opportunities

  1. Present campaign proposals and results to stakeholders that are clear, concise and deliver on marketing objectives

  1. Work across a variety of paid channels, including digital (social, search, programmatic, video), TV, out of home, print and radio

  1. Work with marketing, digital, and analytics team to implement paid media strategies and measure results of campaigns

  1. Analyze paid media results and provide POV or recommendations, with a heavy focus on attribution

  1. Knowledgeable of industry & media trends – always looking for what’s next and how brands and programs can create differentiation

  • Strong understanding of the paid media landscape and how to maximize the media mix

  • Advocate for diverse audiences, experiences and new points of view

  • Track record of driving measurable media and marketing objectives

  • Experience working with cross-functional partners

  • Energized by a fast-paced & ambiguous environment

  • An analytical mind with a creative eye.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to network

  • Good analytical and organizational skills

  • Effective at working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines

You are required to be in the office and facility. Must be in market a month prior to season starting to approximately a month after season completes.

Experience: Minimum two (2) years of experience in media planning at an advertising agency is preferred

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc. Familiarity with paid social execution across platforms (including Meta, X and TikTok) is preferred

Supervisory Responsibility, if any: ​This position does not have supervisory responsibilities

Travel: Position may require travel to external events.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. This job also operates in a sports arena, which includes bleachers/steps.

Physical Demands

Work is generally sedentary in nature. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and exchange information with others both in person and over the telephone. The employee frequently is required to remain in a stationary position, as well as operate computers and other office equipment. Staff will occasionally ascend and descend bleachers/steps and traverse around the arena both on event days and non-event days. Staff will frequently move boxes of merchandise and equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
