
Product Manager, Enterprise Products
A Product Manager at Major League Baseball is responsible for gathering and prioritizing product requirements, defining the product vision, and helping to manage product roadmaps. You will be on the ground floor, talking to users, synthesizing data and using that data to help inform your decision making from a feature perspective. You will work closely with software engineers, product validation specialists and internal stakeholders across various departments to meet business objectives and user satisfaction goals. Successful candidates will be highly analytical, bright, dedicated, passionate about technology, and enjoy working with cross-functional teams. This position requires building an understanding of existing solutions as well as developing new ones.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Execute on a roadmap and vision by converting abstract ideas into actionable steps and realistic deliverables for team
Lead a small development team with guidance of their lead / manager
Participate in prioritization and effectively work with team to make the right scope trade-offs
Use insights to drive product recommendations and set realistic goals for upcoming projects
Work across teams to reactively solve problems
Invest time to understand users and advocate for them on their projects
Become the subject matter expert with respect to each product, platform, and industry trends
Foster a positive environment among the team
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
3-5 years of product management or technical business analysis experience
Able to negotiate the implementation of projects and make the right trade-off decisions to launch projects in a high-quality manner
Proven history of making recommendations to teams that deliver maximum value to the end user as quickly as possible
Strong analytic skills to make data-informed decisions with ability to query data from various systems to solve problems
Ability to think big and small to build incremental features in service of the larger vision
Experience developing requirement documents, user stories, and wireframes
Empathetic person who is adept at reading people and can understand our users
Passion for growing and learning
DEGREES, LICENCES PREFERRED:
Bachelor's degree in technology or related field, or equivalent prior work experience
Per the NYC pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is $95,000 to $115,000.
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills and any other factors Major League Baseball (MLB) considers relevant to the hiring decision.
