Job Title: Manager, Lakers Youth Foundation (LYF)
Department: Lakers Youth Foundation
Reports to: VP, Charitable Affairs & Lakers Youth Foundation
Position Summary: Lead and support the LYF team on various projects and administrative duties throughout the season.
Essential Functions (Duties & Responsibilities):
- Manage in-arena, online, and special event auctions (including preseason events and in-season events). Track the success of the auctions and continue to grow the auctions
- Manage Lakers Youth Foundation Quarterly Grants
- Review grant applications, work with VP to select grantees, prepare paperwork for Legal and Accounting Departments and be the liaison between the Foundation and nonprofit Grantees
- Create and manage the LYF and Community Impact Report for each season. Track events, grants, donations, fundraising, etc. to be able to create a report. Work closely with analytics, accounting and any 3rd party vendors
- Oversee and plan special events including Basketball Court Dedications, Holiday events, Black History Month Reception, shopping-fundraisers and off-season activations
- Manage inventory of autographed items, LYF branded merchandise and Lakers memorabilia. Place orders with Lakers preferred vendors when necessary
- Create, manage, and track ticket letter donations. Work with front office and Ticketing Dept to process ticket letter donations
- Work directly with Accounting Department to process invoices, create check requests, and provide notations to Quarterly Financial Reports
- Assist with Youth Basketball programming and Lakers Youth Foundation Clinics.
- Process Travel & Expense Reports with VP
- Attend games and events as needed
- Assist VP with day-to-day supervision of the Lakers Youth Foundation Coordinator
- Complete special projects as assigned

• Proficient in Microsoft office (Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, Word and Teams)
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or experience equivalent to five (5) years with sports team, nonprofit organization or similar
- 3 years managing/leading a team
- 2 years of fundraising
- 2 years event management
Location: El Segundo, CA and Crypto.com arena for home games. Other occasional off-site events, as needed.
The pay range for this role is $65,000 to $75,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and certifications
