The Los Angeles Dodgers are seeking a Video Coordinator for the Amateur Scouting Department. In addition to traditional scouting responsibilities, this role will focus on in-person video collection, in-person evaluation, and substantial video editing from internal and external sources.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend amateur players for the upcoming MLB Draft
    • Compose scouting evaluations/reports on identified players
    • Assess baseball skill, talent, and on-field and off-field makeup
    • Build relationships with those players, their families, and coaches
    • Assist in various information collection procedures for those players
  • Lead all Departmental video functions throughout the year, including:
    • Organization and review of internal scouting video sources or through internet sources and/or third-party vendors
    • Substantial video editing and processing responsibilities ensuring internal video quality control and proper placement on club’s internal website
    • In-person collection of regular and high-speed amateur video at various amateur scouting events across region and country, as needed
    • Monitoring and suggesting any video process enhancements to improve video quality or quantity throughout the year
  • Provide in-person player evaluations, in-person video collection, and ad-hoc data collection and analysis, on an as-needed basis
  • Provide administrative support in preparation for the annual MLB Draft, as needed

Basic Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Previous experience playing, coaching, or as a support member of a collegiate or professional-level baseball program
  • General knowledge of the Amateur baseball landscape at the high school & college level
  • Strong organizational, time management, and written/verbal communication skills
  • Capable of handling and thriving within a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Basic computer and camera functionality knowledge and/or experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
