The Retail Merchandising intern will play a crucial role in supporting the efforts of the Raider Image team at the Las Vegas Raiders. The Retail Merchandising Intern will have the opportunity to shadow the following departments: Buying, E-Commerce, Events, Retail Stores, and the Distribution Center. The Retail Merchandising Intern will support the department in various aspects of customer service, procurement, inventory management, and merchandising operations for the Las Vegas Raiders. This internship will provide hands-on exposure to various aspects of retail operations, customer service, and merchandising.
This part-time, seasonal internship is an on-site role based in Las Vegas, Nevada, running from June 2nd, 2025, to August 8th, 2025. Candidates must be available to work for the entire duration of the program. Interns are responsible for securing their own housing and transportation for the length of the internship.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist in updating product listings, images, and descriptions on the team's e-commerce platform to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Provide exceptional customer service to fans visiting our retail locations, assisting with inquiries, purchases, and product recommendations.
- Assist in addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive online shopping experience for fans.
- Collaborate with the buying team to identify merchandise needs, and facilitate the procurement process for retail products, including apparel, accessories, and novelty items.
- Support inventory management efforts, including monitoring stock levels, tracking product movement, and analyzing sales data to optimize inventory levels and assortment mix.
- Contribute to the development of merchandising strategies and promotional initiatives to drive sales and enhance the fan shopping experience both online and at retail locations.
- Assist in the creation and management of purchase orders, including verifying accuracy and tracking order status.
- Research competitor merchandise offerings, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to identify opportunities and inform decision-making.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University, full-time.
- Undergraduates in their junior or senior year or graduates students pursuing their Masters degree.
- Preferred academic areas of focus include: Marketing, or Business.
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Sports industry experience preferred.
- Must have the ability to speak, read, and write effectively in English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong design sensibility and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work extended hours and flexible schedule including nights and weekends as needed.
Physical Aspects of Position (includes but are not limited to):
- Sitting for long periods of time throughout shift
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 25lbs
- Occasional walking, standing, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
