Job Title: Trainee – Game Entertainment

Job Summary: The Kansas City Royals are seeking a Game Entertainment Trainee who will assist a team dedicated to producing the most engaging and exciting game presentation in baseball. This position will help with all elements executed and implemented during Royals' home games and events, as well as other duties assigned.

Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Create and track scripting, packets and participant forms for each home game
  • Assist with the creative vision, development and execution of pre-game ceremonies and in-game promotions
  • Serve as field stage manager for Royals home games
  • Assist and help manage the Game Entertainment KCrew and Game Crew staff including scheduling, communication and gameday needs
  • Oversee fulfillment of gameday props
  • Assist with department events and functions
  • General office duties
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:

  • 9-month commitment (February 2024 – October 2024)
  • Self-starter, pro-active & extremely detail oriented
  • Passion for sports and entertainment industry
  • Ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously & meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational, writing & communication skills
  • Computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Power Point)
  • Able to work flexible hours including holidays, evenings & weekends


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift items weighing as much as 25 pounds
  • Must be able to be productive utilizing a computer keyboard and telephone
  • Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times
  • Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility to access the office, concourse, etc.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling

This role is a Part-Time, Non-Exempt opportunity that is not eligible for Company Benefits, 401K, and PTO. The schedule for this position is dependent on our team schedule and is subject to change.
