Utility Maintenance

JOB SUMMARY: Utility Maintenance employees are responsible for cleaning GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium and surrounding complex.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Clean Concourses, Spirals, and Tunnels- Ensure the cleaning of all assigned concourses, spirals and tunnels occur efficiently, punctually and with the proper equipment and chemicals.

  2. Stadium Seating Bowl – Hose seating bowl and maintain the integrity of the hoses and nozzles. Sweep and unclog drains. Using ladders and dusters to clean TVs, LED Ribbon Boards, Speakers, and Railings.

  3. Snow Removal – Ability to work in the freezing temperatures for extended periods of time at all times of day or night, carry 50lb bags of ice melt for distances and upstairs, shovel snow and walkways, scatter ice melt, and be on call at any time.

  4. Trash and Recycle Removal- Ability to recognize the difference between recycle, compost, and trash materials and identify proper disposal techniques of all materials

  5. Restrooms – Maintain cleanliness utilizing proper equipment (Kaivac), chemicals, and supplies. Restock paper products.

  6. Carpet Care and Soft Surface Maintenance – Utilize orbot machine, chariot, vacuums, foaming floors carpet cleaning machine and extractor along with appropriate chemicals to clean carpet and similar surfaces

  7. Hard Surface Maintenance – Utilize orbot machine, kaivic and appropriate chemicals to clean and disinfect hard surfaces.

  8. Power Washer Work- Use trailered power washer and portable power washer to clean totes, concourse, aprons, spirals, tunnels, equipment, and other areas of facilities.

  9. Equipment- Able to operate, clean and identify problems with light and heavy equipment including pressure washers, lifts, kaivac machine, tractors, manual and automatic transmission, tennant machine, pull a trailer and other pieces of equipment necessary to complete work.

  10. Ladders and Lifts- Complete work off ladders and lifts for an extended periods of time

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Walk and stand

  6. Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, sometimes over shoulder.

  7. Repetitive bending and lifting of items

  8. Repetitive arm movements

  9. Complete work off ladders and lifts

EXPECTATIONS:

  1. Reports to work each day and on time and works extra hours when needed.

  2. Employee must comply with proper safety policies and procedures as required (i.e. when using cleaning chemicals, reporting incidents, etc).

  3. Provides excellent level of customer service to both internal and external customers.

  4. The employee must be able to determine the neatness, accuracy and thoroughness of the work assigned.

  5. Able to work in all weather conditions with appropriate equipment

  6. If required to travel for business maintains a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

  7. Must undergo and pass a background check.

  8. Must be approved by Management.
