Position Summary:

This position will primarily focus on the management of team broadcasts, an area of growth as the NBA continues to become more involved in the production of local broadcasts. A specific emphasis will be placed on the WNBA and G League, two affiliate leagues that have seen a lot of development on the broadcast front recently and provide excellent opportunities for progress on the innovation and next gen broadcast front. This role will appeal to imaginative thinkers who specialize in interpreting and analyzing data that allows for informed creative decision-making. We are looking for team players willing to roll their sleeves up to both manage team and network relationships and grow base-level broadcasts from the ground-up.

Major Responsibility:

  • Day-to-day lead for all WNBA and G League broadcast initiatives including game element minute-by-minute analysis, leading brainstorms, developing pitch ideas for internal and external presentations, and organizing meetings/calls to present updates and findings.

  • Serve as the point person for several WNBA and G League team broadcast relationships Project leader for WNBA and G League game broadcast best practices, charting and distributing all exceptional elements to serve as both a teaching tool and recognition of achievement for broadcasters and recognition of achievement.

  • Contribute to nightly operations subgroup of Broadcasting to help facilitate smooth productions and maintain quality control of all broadcasts for NBA, WNBA, and G League

  • Serve as Timeout Coordinator and Access Screener on-site for NBA, WNBA, and G League games

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with network/RSN partners as well as internally with our Next Gen and TMBO groups

  • Travel to tentpole WNBA, NBA, and G League events to assist in managing key projects

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Excellent knowledge of NBA, WNBA, and G League (Players, coaches, teams and rules)

  • Expert understanding of NBA linear broadcasts (e.g. ESPN, TNT, NBA TV and RSNs) as well as social media content (e.g. Twitter, Instagram, TikTok) and digital (e.g. NBA App, YouTube)

  • Strong understanding of broadcast industry trends and technologies

  • Excel and Powerpoint expertise

  • Strong writing skills, including ability to write creatively and analytically

  • Adobe, Paintshop and Final Cut knowledge a bonus

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends

  • Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills

  • Team-first mentality

Experience Needed:

  • 3+ years experience within broadcasting/content/media/production industry.

  • Sports-related experience a bonus.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree
