The Venue Security Guard plays a vital role in the responsibility of public and venue safety & security for employees and guests in all True North Sports + Entertainment properies.
What to expect in this role:
Providing exceptional and safe service to all guests, employees, partners, and community members
Conducting regular and thorough security rounds of Canada Life Centre, TNSE offices, Burton Cummings Theatre, and other areas as assigned
Authorizing and enforcing property access to include issuing keys, fobs, maintenance of visitor logs, passes, and perform security screening for the NHL, AHL and other events
Monitoring security cameras, access control, and other security systems, programs, and equipment, ensuring to protect True North assets
Monitoring, responding to, and investigating alarms, disturbances, threats, emergencies and all other threats as necessary
Responding to medical emergencies and providing first aid, CPR or AED support as necessary
Monitoring loading dock access, receiving, communicating, and disseminating deliveries as required
Providing security escorts when requested or required
Writing detailed reports to maintain accurate records in the event of further investigation or litigation
Working collaboratively and proactively with all team members across the venue teams

What we need from you:
Availability to work days, evenings, overnights, weekends or holidays as required
High School diploma/general education degree with an equivalent combination of experience
Clean criminal record and child abuse registry checks less than 6 months old
Must possess a valid Manitoba security guard license
Experience in the security field at an entertainment facility is an asset
Have average computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
Be of good physical condition to conduct a variety of physically challenging duties
Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time.
