What to be excited for in this role:

  • Ensuring compliance with strict health and safety standards

  • Implementing service standards and training staff to improve productivity and restaurant image

  • Overseeing the preparation, cooking, and plating of all meals in a timely manner

  • Supporting and directing kitchen staff including performing prep work and dishwashing

  • Providing support and leadership to all members of the BOH team

  • Product ordering and receiving deliveries in accordance to volume of expected sales and par levels

  • Compiling and executing cleaning duties and prep lists

  • Writing an executing a cohesive menu

  • Participating and contributing to meetings with the F&B team to improve operations, promotions and identify where to cut waste

  • Preparing and executing catering contracts

  • BOH Scheduling, mentoring, and disciplining

  • Fostering positive relationship between FOH and BOH to develop amicable workplace culture

What we need from you:

  • 5 years’ experience as a Senior Line Cook and have an extensive background in executing line service and catering

  • Possess valid Health and Safety certification

  • Display strong leadership, ethics, and motivational skills to lead a team

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

  • Must be personable, maintain a professional disposition and dress hygienically in accordance with policy

  • Adhere to all policies outlined by True North Sports + Entertainment

  • As hockey for all centre is not on a Winnipeg Transit bus route, must have a means of transportation.
