Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE), located in Washington, D.C., is one of the largest integrated sports and entertainment companies in the country with one of the most diverse partnership groups in all of sports. Position Overview: The Manager, Venues Marketing is responsible for driving awareness and ticket sales by developing creative marketing opportunities to promote Capital One Arena, EagleBank Arena, District E powered by Ticketmaster, the Caesars Sportsbook and the Premium Suites Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a marketing campaign with advertising, social media, and promotional components to enhance advertising budget and drive ticket sales.

  • Collaborate with partners across the organization including Global Partnerships, Marketing, Communications and Aramark who oversees F&B operations.

  • Act as the marketing liaison with the promoter and/or show from the on-sale until the conclusion of the event.

  • Develop and carry out on-sale events, promotional opportunities within house assets, day of show welcoming activities, and social media engagements for promoters and shows.

  • Focus on growing our reach on all social media outlets.

  • Support the MSE website manager in keeping venue websites current.

  • Monitor advertising and production spending against budget for each event.

  • Provide post-event settlement including recap on paid advertising, production, group sales, and PR expenses.

  • Review and track marketing invoices for accuracy.

  • Monitor event sales regularly to keep marketing recommendations relevant.

  • Work alongside the marketing departments for all MSE teams on in-game cross-promotional opportunities for events.

  • Coordinate marketing schedule and programming within house assets.

  • Support the development of creative material to best promote venues both locally, nationally and in trade publications.

  • Work with box office personnel on ticketing questions, special offers, promotions, holds and complimentary ticket requests.

  • Provide day of show/event coverage as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 2+ years’ experience in Marketing, Event Management or related experience, preferably in entertainment.

  • Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and balance business relationships in a professional and confidential manner.

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Solid understanding of Adobe Photoshop, Ticketmaster/ TM One a plus.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
