Work within the Performance Nutrition Department under the direction of the Performance Nutrition Coordinator, in all aspects of food and nutrition services. The Coordinator and Associates will work together to enhance all realms of food and nutrition while keeping nutrition education engaging and applicable for the players and staff.

Responsibilities: Assist in training/game fueling & hydration needs, supplement review/monitor, review of nutrition data (body composition, 24 hour recalls, blood work, hydration testing), complete individual nutrition assessments and follow ups, assist with menu review and development, create research-based educational materials to be posted for all teams, present original engaging presentations, monitor smoothie station & recipe creating. Perform any other duties as requested by the Coordinator.

Location: Rochester, NY OR Fredericksburg, VA

Responsibilities: Provide individual and team nutrition support. Plan, select and order high performance menu items for pre and postgame meals (home & away), complete individual nutrition assessments and follow ups, provide nutrition education to players, monitor newly constructed smoothie station, oversee clubhouse snack options and eating areas, establish and sustain relationships with catering companies and restaurants near home & away stadiums, complete monthly budget & player nutrition progress reports. Perform any other duties as requested by the Coordinator.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credential (RDN: requires completion of approved academic coursework and internship)
Licensed to practice nutrition in state
Professional liability insurance (currently has or will purchase)
MS in Nutrition, Exercise Science and/or Culinary Nutrition background is preferred
Previous experience working in athletic environment (1-2 years of experience preferred)
Food sanitation certification
Membership in SCAN (Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutrition and/or CPSDA (Collegiate & Professional Sports Dietitians Association)
CSSD (Certified Specialty in Sports Dietetics)
Ability to pass background screening and drug test
Available for the entire term of the work period
Authorized to work in the United States

Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
