The Manager, Global Partnership Activations will be part of the overall FEG corporate partnerships team, with a focus on sponsors of the Vegas Golden Knights and City National Arena. The Manager will oversee activation and ensure contractual sponsorship elements are fulfilled and executed properly for a robust list of companies. This person will also drive revenue by renewing/refreshing and opportunistically upselling their assigned partners, promote the VGK Knights Code, and retain and grow revenues. This position will be based at City National Arena in Summerlin/Las Vegas, NV and report to the Vice President of Global Partnership Activations with a dotted line to the Director, Global Partnership Activations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with hiring/training/managing Partnership Interns as needed.

  • Assist with gameday radio broadcast inventory for local and affiliated network-wide stations via Skyview Networks.

  • Assist with management of NHL’s Digitally Enhanced Dasherboard (DED) system/inventory/artwork and virtual slot/virtual glass signage system.

  • Assist with dasherboard maps across all facilities.

  • Oversee activation and ensure contractual sponsorship elements (gameday and non-gameday assets) are fulfilled/executed properly for assigned VGK/CNA partners.

  • Assist in the planning of strategic hospitality events for partners – Gameday hosting, Partner Trips, Business Alliance Events, Season Kickoff Luncheon, etc.

  • Attend all VGK home games, as well as select other FEG events, to develop client relationships and ensure that assets are fulfilled properly and are photographed.

  • Work with Team Photographer on capturing photos for VGK events and partner assets as needed.

  • Attend non-gameday/community events on behalf of the Company as needed to manage partner activation/involvement in those events.

  • Serve as liaison with the Arena Operations Department at T-Mobile Arena for all sponsorship-related topics.

  • Be knowledgeable and trained in the KORE software service.

  • Hold meetings with other department leaders to ensure contracted sponsor assets are executed on time and accordingly.

  • Attend contracted appearances, commercial shoots, etc. as needed at sponsor’s business, community service event and/or other specified locations.

  • Create mid-season and/or end-of-season recaps for all assigned partner accounts.

  • Take lead in developing and managing a strategic plan for all of our assigned accounts that are up for renewal/expiring.

  • Coordinate internal brainstorming meetings with other VGK/FEG colleagues to develop innovative assets and ideas for your assigned sponsors.

  • Bring new and compelling ideas to current partners whenever possible (IE - upsell opportunities)

  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships and communication between the Partnerships department and other departments such as Community Relations, Ticketing, Game Entertainment, Legal, Communications & Content, Hockey Operations, etc.

  • Serve as a liaison between third party companies associated with VGK to assist in making sure the partner/fan experience is positive i.e. Levy, AEG, Rank & Rally, etc.

  • Other duties as assigned from time to time.

Key Competencies and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Minimum of 2-years of professional or internship experience, preferably in sports with a team, brand, or agency

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc)

  • Experience using graphic design software preferred (IE - Photoshop) but not mandatory

  • Strong desire/willingness to learn

  • Ability to consistently meet hard deadlines.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to plan and develop marketing campaigns

  • Positive attitude and quick thinker. Always lead with YES internally & externally.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a relentless work ethic

  • Highly organized, with an ability to handle a high volume of detail-oriented partner agreements and projects

  • Must have a flexible work schedule to work special event responsibilities throughout the year: weekends, nights and holidays as dictated by games/events

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced workplace

  • Team player with a no-ego, ‘we’ not ‘me’ approach. Most of all, understand that teamwork is what makes the dream work

  • High level of integrity, and ability to uphold the organization’s “Knights Code” (company rules of conduct)

  • Ability to stand up and/or work with your hands for extended periods of time. Lifting objects (rarely more than 20 lbs) on occasion.
