The People & Office Assistant provides administrative support for the Abbotsford Canucks office staff, answer calls, ordering office supplies, greeting guests along with providing support with wardrobe for event staff. This is a part-time, hourly position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Handle all phone calls and emails through the main line
Maintain office supplies and tidy workplace
Distribute incoming mail and process outgoing couriers
Help fans by handling all lost and found for games and events
Provide proactive, best-in-class service to all Event Staff, providing them with uniform pieces and equipment required for each Abbotsford Canucks home game and concert event
Assist People Coordinator with management of new uniform inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained and replenished when required
Maintain records of uniforms assigned and returned in the HRIS system
Ensure efficient, tidy and well-organized wardrobe room and inventory
Prepare and deliver necessary communication to staff on all wardrobe related information
Coordinate maintenance of uniforms, including repairs and cleaning
Assist in managing postings and applicants
Assist with the Event Staff job fair logistics
Assist in the administration of employee onboarding, follow-up on candidates etc.
Provide support and relief to the Staff Services & People Department as required
Perform any other clerical support work and special projects as required
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 2 years’ administrative and professional reception and switchboard experience
Ability to work independently and be self-sufficient
Solid working knowledge of MS Office
Excellent communication skills and telephone etiquette
Positive, energetic, friendly team player, with a can-do attitude
Excels at providing not just good customer service, but best in class service
Extremely organized and does not compromise on ensuring an efficient, tidy workspace
Motivated by a busy, fast-paced environment
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Experience with inventory databases and working knowledge of MS Word and Excel would be an asset
Previous inventory control experience would be a definite asset but is not required
