The Coordinator assists in the overall daily operations of the Box Office. Key responsibilities include preparing daily reports and audits, working within the Ticketmaster systems, assisting in supporting the Box Office staff, and maintaining the highest standard of customer service.

  • Provides and exemplifies a high level of frontline customer service

  • Opens and closes the Box Office for general sales and service, including event day ticket sales and public on sales

  • Prepares daily ticketing reports, ticket deposits, cash and credit card deposits and daily audits in accordance with the Finance department’s requirements

  • Processes both internal and external ticket requests for events and/or hockey, as required

  • Assists in the development and enhancement of Ticket Centre policies and procedures

  • Investigates and resolves all escalated ticket-related issues in the absence of the Manager

  • Works closely with the Scheduling department on part time staff scheduling and deployment

  • Organizes event files for all arena events, including CAD’s, ROFR files, price scale maps and audits

  • Coordinates all event deadwood, ticket headers and archived files

  • Oversees office supply inventory, including will call envelopes, general office supplies and ticket stock

  • Coordinates and assists all part-time Ticket Centre staff on event nights

  • Works closely with promoters on event day and leading up to events providing color maps, audits and reporting as needed

  • Support Ticket Operations with the placement of concert or hockey holds, processing of ticket orders and the release of ticket inventory under promoter direction

  • Assist with the planning and execution of event day ticket operations and providing promoter support

  • Assist with seat relocations on event day

  • Help with group sales drives for events at Abbotsford Centre (ie stars on ice)

  • Booking suites/loges in the ticketing system including food & beverage and parking

  • Complete ‘new event info’ for all staff prior to announcing the events

  • Acts in a supervisory role to the part-time Box Office staff in the absence of the Manager for hockey and concerts


  • University degree or College diploma in business administration or similar

  • Minimum 2-3 years box office/ticketing experience, preferably within a similar facility

  • Previous experience with ticketing software and systems required

  • Some supervisory experience preferred

  • Has a thorough understanding of the Ticketmaster systems (Host and Archtics) and is knowledgeable in:

  • Transacting and reporting in both systems

  • Managing inventory requirements, special offers and ticket programs

  • Event night settlements

  • Prior customer service, sales and/or promotions experience

  • Excellent customer service, problem solving and people skills, with an ability to interact effectively with internal and external clients at all levels

  • Exceptional cash handling, time management, organizational and administrative skills

  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and event days as required

  • Excellent computer knowledge in Microsoft Office programs

  • Committed to ensuring superior customer service and supporting the team

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
