The Smith Entertainment Group is looking to add a key internship role to our Marketing department to support the NBA Utah All-Star 2023. We are interested in an individual who will support the marketing activation and implementation for All-Star events and activations in February 2023. This paid intern will be expected to support the marketing department in coordinating large-scale projects, and activations, support trafficking creative, seeing projects from conception to fulfillment, and developing recaps upon completion.

All full-time and part-employees of the Utah Jazz are required to be fully vaccinated (fully vaccinated is defined as two weeks after your final dose). DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily project management of all internal creative requests

  • Meet or communicate regularly with key stakeholders regarding upcoming projects

  • Perform daily check-ins with members of creative production team

  • Execute internal print jobs on the large format printer for all-star working group meetings and the president’s office

  • Support creative distribution, track proofs, work with vendors, and partners

  • Visit activation locations on occasion to track progress, provide visuals, etc.

  • Support budget oversight, billing and tracking for activations and projects

  • Execute any all-star mailings and gifting

  • Respond to all production-related communications in a professional manner

  • Gather and distribute production materials on-time

  • Research marketing and creative ideas as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in or pursuing currently in marketing, advertising, business, communications and/or public relations.

  • Knowledge of basketball is a plus

  • Ability to communicate patiently and effectively with all kinds of people on a daily basis

  • Availability to work nights & weekends based on needs

  • Available during All-Star Week February 13-19, 2023

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.

  • This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess.

  • This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.

  • This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
