Main goal:

We are looking to fill a dedicated position focusing on our day-to-day engagement with a broad spectrum of stakeholders in professional football (e.g. leagues, clubs, players, agents and their representative bodies). Working in close cooperation with other UEFA divisions (specifically the football division), the successful candidate will maintain UEFA's relationships with these stakeholders, providing them with support and services and making them feel valued. In particular, the Stakeholder Relations Specialist will develop connections, improve outreach, facilitate dialogue and nurture knowledge of stakeholder perspectives on a wide range of topics relating to professional football, including governance, policy, regulations, sporting matters, etc.

Key responsibilities:

  • Fostering relationships with major stakeholders in professional football across Europe;

  • Supporting the work of dedicated stakeholder engagement platforms and working groups and participating in their administration;

  • Acting as a focal point for stakeholder inquiries, coordinating high-quality responses and disseminating information as appropriate to enhance the understanding of UEFA's activities, initiatives, positions and core values;

  • Keeping abreast of stakeholder collaboration projects and ensuring the required internal and external coordination;

  • Conducting research, drafting documents and preparing presentations covering complex subjects;

  • Preparing communications to stakeholders and providing briefings and other supporting materials for meetings with stakeholders;

  • Arranging and attending relevant internal and external meetings.

Profile:

Experience required:

  • Significant experience of working with professional football stakeholders and handling related matters in an international environment (4-6 years)

Education:

  • Higher education or substantial experience in football administration

  • Postgraduate qualification in law, political science, international relations, economics or similar

Languages:

  • English / Proficient

Additional requirements:

  • MS Office / Advanced

  • Project Management / Advanced

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the European football environment

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including proven experience of influencing individuals and decisions

  • Proven ability to generate ideas and solve problems, taking into account organisational limitations

  • Proven ability to create, manage and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

  • Proactive approach to day-to-day issues

  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and an ability to multitask

  • Flexible approach to work; prepared to travel

  • Having played football at professional level would be a plus
