The Tennessee Titans Media Relations department is seeking a seasonal Media Relations assistant to work during 2023 training camp and regular season (mid –July through two weeks following the end of the season). Prior media relations or newswriting experience is required. Candidates must maintain a high level of professionalism and have a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
Arranges player interviews with media outlets
Conducts research for game releases
Responsible for sections of weekly game packet
Helps write player bios
Helps assemble and distribute weekly release
Helps in press box and media will call on game days
Assists with the media credential process
Pulls, compiles and distributes daily news clippings
Transcribes press conferences
General office work to include office supply ordering, filing, etc.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or a related field preferred
Athletic media relations experience or collegiate newspaper experience preferred
Basic understanding of football
Must have excellent writing, communication and proofreading skills
Able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
