Description: The Rays Minor League Travel Logistics Manager will run all aspects of Team and Administrative Travel logistics for the Player Development system. The individual stepping into this role is supremely organized; you love a clean spreadsheet, an efficient checklist, and streamlined operations, and you make sure details do not fall through the cracks. While this position holds a high degree of responsibility to ensure that our humans get to where they need to be, on time and as stress-free as possible, you will have help. You can expect to be based out of our St. Petersburg, FL Tropicana Field. Hours for this role fluctuate, but during the season will tend to follow the affiliate game schedule.


  • Arrange all travel logistics (air, bus, hotel, car if necessary) for player movements throughout the course of the baseball calendar (including spring training, championship season, post-season, instructional league, and camps)

  • Manage housing logistics for player and staff housing at Rays full-season affiliates

  • Liaise between Rays players and staff between various external third parties, including leasing offices, maintenance management, etc., and coordinate the turnover process of player housing

  • Support travel logistics for full-season clubs; assist in the creation of travel manifests, rooming lists, hotel and other temporary housing needs for players and staff

  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of organizational schedules

  • Provide after-hours travel-related services in accordance with roster transaction needs

  • Assist with preparation of Player Development budgets pertaining to travel logistics


  • Above average organizational and time management skills. You love a good checklist, and you check it twice to make sure details don’t fall through the cracks.

  • Skilled use of Microsoft based office programs such as Excel, Outlook, and Word

  • Working proficiency in Spanish is strongly preferred

  • Capacity to work non-traditional and flexible hours in accordance with the baseball schedule

  • Ability to travel from Tampa, FL, to various Rays Affiliate cities roughly twice per month

  • Willingness to work out of the Rays Spring Training complex for the duration of Spring Training

  • Familiarity with the baseball landscape, the transaction cycle, and travel logistics

  • Nice to have: travel planning and booking experience, functional use of SQL.
