The Social Media Manager is responsible for engaging fans through the interaction, ideation, creation, and execution of compelling content across all St. Louis CITY SC social channels. This role will strategize and help create content to tell the stories of CITY players, partners, the St. Louis community, and more. The ideal candidate must have an affinity for soccer and STL, be pop culture obsessed, deep in industry trends and ahead of best practices. The ideal candidate must additionally have the ability to create memes, gifs and engaging social content using social short-form video production, branded templates, and mobile applications.


Major League Soccer's (MLS) first majority female-owned and female-lead organization has its sights set on launching for the 2023 MLS season. The 100 percent St. Louis based owners are committed to becoming an exceptional club and neighbor and a symbol for the future of our city and region.

St. Louis CITY SC will play in a brand new, state of the art soccer stadium to be built on approximately 30 acres in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. Seating capacity of the open-air stadium will be approximately 22,500. Included with the build of the stadium will be the team Administrative Offices and Training Facility immediately adjacent to the stadium in Downtown West St. Louis.


Community Management

  • Manage day-to-day publishing of social content.

  • Execute brand voice.

  • Monitor social media platforms for relevant and timely opportunities.

  • Appropriately interact/respond with fans, influencers, players and brands

  • Help plan the social calendar.


  • Help brainstorm and research ideas for original content.

  • Develop new strategies for growing engagement and followers.

  • Write brieflets to the team for content opportunities.


  • Track key performance social metrics to help track and translate successes and failures of content into future content recommendations and adjustments.

  • Help maintain social media tagging/reporting on our social media management platform.

Content Creation

  • Assist with creating caption copy, short videos, and photos.

  • Provide and manage live match coverage on weeknights and weekends in-season.

  • Support content shoots.


  • You nerd-out about social media and make us feel dated.

  • Your pithy tweets go viral.

  • Your iPhone is used more to create content than it is to text (Adobe Creative Suite experience a plus).

  • You love ideas.

  • Your love language is soccer and are obsessed with pop culture and STL.

  • You are available to work on matchdays.
