The Box Office Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Ticket Operations and Sales & Marketing Department for Lumen Field & Event Center, WAMU Theater, and the Muckleshoot Plaza.

Essential functions and duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for full prep of box office spaces and teardown on event day. This includes readying workstations, managing scanners (both entry pedestal and suite doors), updating window signage, and assisting in financial settlements as needed post-event.

  • Performs in a management role during events. This includes opening, closing, and settlement of events as scheduled by the manager.

  • Serves as primary box office gate captain on major stadium event days to assist guest services staff and fans with pedestal scanners and ticket issues at the entry gates.

  • Assists in the general daily box office operations. This includes assisting sellers and other staff with questions and concerns related to events or customers.

  • Serves in a supervisory role to other part-time box office staff on event day(s).

  • Creates and provides necessary ticketing resources and training materials to both part-time staffs in the box office and guest services

  • Supports the Ticket Operations department with building and reporting ancillary Ticketmaster events including parking and other add-ons.

  • Manages online Box Office resource files with information on show builds, event maps, special client needs, client ticket orders, and settlement documents

  • Serves as a lead on any escalated customer service issues.

  • Assist client and venue in fulfillment of complimentary ticket requests and/or guest(s) lists.

  • Provides exceptional customer & client service via telephone, walk-up, and through our general customer service email address.

  • Maintains an organized and clean box office space.

  • Supports relationship with Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Sounders FC, and OL Reign organizations.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong computer skills using all Microsoft Office products.

  • Ability to make decisions during high-pressure situations.

  • Ability to work well with people; must have strong interpersonal skills.

  • Attention to detail and highly organized.

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Required Experience

  • Experience in customer service, guest relations, and/or client relations.

  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Windows based environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Ticketing (specifically Ticketmaster) experience a plus

  • Attending, working, or managing events

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Advanced oral and written communication skills.

  • Must be able to work fluently in English; bi-lingual skills are a plus.

  • Ability to speak in a professional manner via telephone or in person with guests, visitors, and fans.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Understanding of basic accounting principles.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift and move boxes and other items up to 50 lbs.
